Mobile internet browsing will be filtered in the near future over in Indonesia, as the government as requested. Of course along with that request comes a threat of shutting off internet browsing as a whole for BlackBerry devices if RIM does not comply. It seems real easy for governments to threaten RIM nowadays as we saw it all over the last several months with the BlackBerry ban.
Currently, internet is already “monitored” and filtered in Indonesia as that was requested last year. Indonesia currently holds about 2 million BlackBerry users, so this isn’t something RIM will just turn their heads on.
